EDITOR’S NOTE: Read our complete review of this kettle here

I drink tea every day, sometimes more than one cup a day. A cup of black tea helps me get going in the mornings, while herbal tea is great when I’m sitting down to tackle an afternoon writing project or when I want to unwind in the evenings.

For years, my husband and I boiled water for tea in a regular kettle on our stove. However, I’ve long been aware that electric kettles are popular in Europe, in part because they heat water a lot faster, and some of that has to do with the fact that Europe has higher voltage compared to the U.S.

Then, in the early spring of 2022, Aldi sold an electric glass kettle. I was excited to purchase it and put it to use. We heated water in it not only for tea, but also when we needed hot water fast for cooking things such as pasta. It was definitely quicker than heating water on the stovetop. However, after about a year, the plug and the cord began to get extremely hot to the touch whenever we used it. Out of concern that it might be a fire hazard, I retired our electric glass kettle.

Now, Aldi is selling another electric kettle. This time, it’s a gooseneck electric kettle that looks completely different, and it has more features, including an LED display and the ability to set precise temperatures. Of course, I’m game.

What We Know:

Ambiano Gooseneck Electric Kettle

The kettle in matte blue.

The Ambiano Gooseneck Electric Kettle (Product Code: 707605) is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some later time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not currently in stock at your local store.

This kettle is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on either October 22nd or October 25th of 2023, depending on whether your local store’s weekly ad goes into effect on Sundays or Wednesdays.

The Ambiano Gooseneck Electric Kettle cost $29.99 in October of 2023. That’s less than most other electric gooseneck-style kettles on the market.

Here’s more information about the Aldi kettle:

  • Available in Matte Black or Matte Blue
  • Features ultra clear LED display
  • Kettle detaches from the base for cordless operation
  • Offers precise temperature control setting (104 °F–212 °F)
  • Maximum capacity: 900 mL/ 30.43 oz.

This is sold under the Ambiano brand, which is not a company. Instead, it’s the private label Aldi uses for various household goods and kitchen products.

What We Don’t Know:

I haven’t purchased this kettle yet, so I don’t know how well it works or how it holds up to regular use. Also, Aldi has not yet published information about whether this comes with any kind of warranty. I plan to try to get a kettle as soon as they become available in my local Aldi stores. In the meantime, we write open threads on Aldi Reviewer to provide readers with a place to discuss Aldi products.

  1. Hi all! Purchased this last year (mine is grey). I too have always used a kettle on the stove. I got the last one at my Michigan store for $14.99. This hands down beats the kettle. Kettle would take about 10 minutes on a electric stove (strange but even longer on a gas stove). This device takes about 3 minutes. Set to 206 degrees. I drink some tea but mostly pour over coffee. Not one problem in the last year of use. Even at $29.99 it is a very useful tool to own if you are a coffee/ tea drinker.

    • Hi James – I was wondering if the inside of the kettle is all stainless steel and also how well the coating on the outside has held up?
