As Thanksgiving approaches, Aldi begins to sell all the things you need to properly celebrate. First, there’s the array of foods, from turkeys and hams to stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole fixings, pumpkin pies, and more.
There’s also the range of cookware and small kitchen appliances required to make your feast. Whether you need a Dutch oven, a large pan, a French oven, or even a bread oven, Aldi rotates an impressive selection of kitchen items into its middle aisle this time of year.
One of the more recent products I spotted in the weekly Aldi ad is a cast iron oval roasting pan that looks to be a duplicate of the expensive name-brand Le Creuset Signature Oval Baker.
Le Creuset says of this style of dish: “the wide, shallow cooking area exposes ingredients more directly to heat, perfect for recipes calling for a crispy topping. Large loop handles make lifting easy.” Le Creuset also says this type of dish is good for things such as baked macaroni and cheese, potatoes au gratin, roasted vegetables, cobblers, and roasted chicken.
What We Know:

The Crofton Cast Iron Oval Roaster (Product Code: 827275) is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some later time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on either October 29th or November 1st of 2023, depending on whether your local Aldi store’s weekly ad goes into effect on Sundays or Wednesdays.
The Crofton Cast Iron Oval Roaster cost $16.99 at the time of publication. That’s less than the $24.99 the roaster cost in 2022, and this is another example I’ve seen of Aldi lowering prices on certain Aldi Finds in 2023.
That’s also a lot less than the name-brand Le Creuset Signature Oval Baker, which went for between $90 and $210 at the time of writing, depending on what size you purchase. Prices for Le Creuset Signature Oval Bakers on Amazon also run at least that much. That makes the Aldi version look like a pretty good deal.

Aldi has not yet published details about who services the warranty on the 2023 roaster. The 2022 cast iron oval roaster’s warranty included an email address for service: help@solutionservice.us. I’m not sure exactly what company is connected to that email, but it’s the same company that provides warranty service for some other Aldi cookware, including the Crofton Ceramic Saucepan.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t purchased this roaster, so we don’t know how well it works or how it holds up to regular use. We also don’t know how it compares to its name-brand counterpart. We write open threads to provide readers with a space to discuss Aldi products.
