Summer is approaching, and parents are looking for ways to keep kids active and entertained outdoors. Aldi can help with this, whether it’s with swimming pools, giant sprinklers, balls, sand and water stations, water tables, hopscotch sprinklers, or water slides. The discount grocer is a great place to stock up on not only warm-weather cookout food and snacks, but also everything you need for outdoor recreation.

Another fun outdoor product Aldi sells sometimes during the summer is a large nest swing for kids. We’ve tried and liked a smaller disc swing Aldi has sold in the past. This year, we decided to give the nest swing a try.

Little Town Nest Swing

The Little Town Nest Swing cost $29.99 in April of 2026, the same as 2025, 2024, and 2023. In the years before, the price was actually higher: the swing went for $49.99 in 2022, 2019, and 2018, and cost $39.99 in 2021 and 2020. The 2026 price of $29.99 is also less than most other nest swings from other retailers.

Before 2025, this swing was sold under the Bee Happy private label, but it appears to be more or less the same swing over the years.

Unboxing and Assembly:

Little Town Nest Swing
What comes in the box. Two rope sets, the swing fabric seat, four metal poles covered with foam, a manual, and warranty sheets.

When you open the box, you’ll find the nest swing seat, four frame tubes with padding, two ropes with plastic hangers, a manual, and warranty sheets.

The main body of the swing is not preassembled, so it takes a little work to put it together. Place the fabric seat on the ground and open the four cover straps that have hook and loop Velcro tapes. One after the other, push the four frame tubes with padding into the open pockets in the seat. Make sure the thicker tube end with a hole is next to a thinner tube end with spring pushbuttons.

Here’s what the hook and loop Velcro tapes look like.

Next, lay the two ropes with plastic hangers next to the swing, making sure the ropes are not twisted. Push the plastic hanger of the rope through the opening of the cover strap with the hook and loop tapes from above. Attach the larger hole-side of the plastic hanger onto the thicker frame tube. Now, join the rods together, pushing down on the spring pushbuttons on the thinner tube. The rods will lock by latching together, and you’ll see / hear the spring pushbuttons click up.

Then, close the cover strap with the hook and loop Velcro.

You’ll need to hang the swing with carabiners (not included). The manual offers recommendations for how to hang the swing. You can also adjust the swing’s height by sliding some metal rings up or down, as shown in the photo from the manual below.

Our Setup:

The swing, ready to hang.

We hung this from a tree using a strap with a carabiner. We’ll be using it more as a lounging / hangout swing rather than doing lots of high swinging with it. It’s a little different setup, so we’ll be keeping a careful eye on it to make sure it’s working well.

So far, we like the swing. The maximum weight limit means it can easily hold teens and even adults, and the swing is plenty large even for an adult.

The Verdict:

The Little Town Nest Swing (previously the Bee Happy Nest Swing) from Aldi has a weight limit of 330 pounds, with a swing diameter of 43 inches. It’s a nice, large swing that hangs with no tools required, although you do at least need some carabiners (not included) to attach it to.

Update (April 2026): The swing has held up well after a year of use. It’s in good shape and continues to work like it did when we bought it.
