A canopy tent is indispensable if you’re spending time outdoors, especially if you aren’t in an area with trees to provide some natural shade. A portable shelter is helpful whether you’re camping or tailgating, working a booth at a farmers’ market or rummage sale or craft fair, or you need some extra cover in your yard, on the beach, or at a sporting event.
Aldi has sold several portable canopy tents over the years, including an instant-up gazebo and a beach cabana. In addition, for the last few years, Aldi has sold an instant canopy. Aldi first sold the instant canopy under its Gardenline private label in 2019 for $59.99, and then it came back in 2021 under the Aldi Belavi private label for $69.99. Then in the summer of 2022, Aldi sold it again under the Belavi label for $79.99.
Now, in the fall of 2022, Aldi is bringing the instant canopy back yet again. This time, we’re not quite sure what Aldi house brand it’s being sold under. The weekly Aldi ad states it’s being offered under the Aldi Crane private label, while the photo of the canopy in the ad features the Belavi Aldi house brand logo. Neither Crane nor Belavi are separate companies but rather Aldi house brands. Crane encompasses products for the outdoors, including portable tables, neck fans, swimsuits, beach mats, snorkel masks, stadium seats, bean bag toss games, and more. Belavi is for gardening and outdoor products including deck boxes, outdoor day beds, hanging chairs, wicker patio sets, plant shelves, and more.
What We Know:
The Crane Instant Canopy (Product Code: 1537), or Belavi Instant Canopy, cost $79.99 at the time of publication. That’s the same price Aldi sold a similar instant canopy for just a few months earlier, although it is a $20 increase over what a similar instant canopy sold for at Aldi in 2019. Even so, it’s still less than what we can find on Amazon.
This instant canopy is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a limited time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until Aldi decides to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
Here’s more information on the 2022 model, according to Aldi:
- Features a 10′ x 10′ footprint and is 9′ tall
- Sets up in 3 minutes or less
- Folds up easily for convenient storage
- Includes carrying case with wheels for easy transport or storage
- Offers 30+ UV protection
- Comes with a one-year warranty
In the past, the canopy warranty service has been provided by Protel, a common Aldi warranty service provider. Aldi has not yet published warranty provider information for the 2022 canopy.
What We Don’t Know:
We have not yet tried this instant canopy, so we don’t know how easily it goes up or how durable it is. We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with Aldi products.

Greetings from NC! I was in my local ALDI this past weekend and noticed this Crane 10×10′ “instant canopy” (product code 1537) listed at half price (was $80; paid $40). I haven’t assembled it yet (rained all day today), but the instructions boast of a single-person assembly, and this site states an assembly time of 3 minutes. We’ll see how that goes. For $40, I figured I couldn’t go wrong, even if it is made in China. I’ll try to post a follow-up response after experiencing my first assembly & disassembly (once these much needed rain clouds go away).
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
