Open Thread: Ambiano Handheld Fabric Steamer

In addition to selling an array of laundry detergents and fabric softeners to get your clothes clean, Aldi rotates various laundry-related products through its stores at different times during the year. We’re fans of Aldi’s clothes drying racks and laundry baskets.
One product we haven’t tried but that we’ve seen in stores each year is the Ambiano Handheld Fabric Steamer, previously called the Easy Home Handheld Fabric Steamer. Neither Ambiano nor Easy Home are companies. They’re just names Aldi puts on various home goods it sources from different suppliers.
What We Know:
The Ambiano Handheld Fabric Steamer sold for $12.99 in July of 2025. The price has fluctuated over the years, from $19.99 in February of 2023, to $14.99 in 2020 and 2019, and $12.99 in 2018. Similar handheld fabric steamers on Amazon cost at least twice as much as the Aldi version.
The steamer is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time and then it’s gone until the next year. Each store receives one shipment, and once that sells out, they’re gone until the next time Aldi decides to stock them. Aldi doesn’t offer online ordering for products that aren’t at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in stores July 23rd, 2025.
Aldi also sometimes sells a different, larger, more expensive upright fabric steamer: the Easy Home Upright Fabric Steamer, which cost $39.99 in August of 2019.
Going back to the Ambiano Handheld Fabric Steamer, features for the 2025 model include:
- Smooths, de-wrinkles, and freshens
- Features a 5.75-oz. water capacity
- 800 W power
- Features viewable water level
- Available in matte black, matte purple, or matte white.
We found a video about the 2019 model here, and for something a little different, here’s a YouTuber reviewing a version of the fabric steamer sold at Aldi in the United Kingdom in 2019.
The 2019 fabric steamer came with a three-year warranty, and we assume current models come with a similar warranty, but since we haven’t gotten our hands on one yet, we can’t say for sure.
What We Don’t Know:
We have not used the Ambiano Handheld Fabric Steamer, so we don’t know how well it works. We also don’t know if the 2025 model comes with any kind of warranty.

I bought this fabric steamer last year, oh surprise! Doesn’t work…. Tried many times but just overheats and no steam at all! Waste of money. What a shame

I bought the handheld steamer product code 707080 last year or so. I kept trying but it always boiled over, even if I only filled 1/4 to 1/2. Clothes were wet, and the floor. The most dangerous home appliance I bought
Mine over boils just for a second. I heat it up next to the bathroom sink to catch the burst of water, then it is fine. I love it! Haven’t used my iron in over a year. Other than that overspill of water once it first gets hot, I have no complaints.
