Open Thread: Easy Home Stick Vacuum

If you need to clean your house on a budget, Aldi often comes through. From spin mops and generic Magic Erasers to bagless vacuums and handheld shop vacs, the discount grocer frequently sells what you need to make things spic and span.
One of the more recent offerings is a compact stick vacuum.
What We Know:
The Easy Home Stick Vacuum (product code 8651) cost $24.99 in September of 2020.
Aldi also sold a stick vacuum for just $14.99 in 2018, so the price has increased by $10 from two years ago.
This is an Aldi Find (Special Buy), which means it’s only in stores for a short time. If you miss it, you’ll probably have to wait until sometime next year before it shows up at Aldi again.
Features for the 2020 model include:
- Detachable base for handheld use
- Works on rugs and hard floors
- Comes with crevice tool for tight spots
- Lightweight
- Washable HEPA Filter
- 16′ power cord
- Extra wide 9.75″ brush head
- Easy-to-empty bagless dust container
- Cord rest and collapsible hand for easy storage
- Three-year warranty
We don’t yet know who services the warranty for this year’s model, but Aldi’s website shows the 2018 model came with a three-year warranty serviced by Wachsmuth and Krogmann.
What We Don’t Know:
We write open threads at Aldi Reviewer for products we have not yet tried, so we don’t know how well this vacuum works.

I have the stick vacuum from a few years ago and I love it. It has strong suction and is easy to empty and to clean the filter. The long cord is great and I love that I can convert it to handheld.
How do you make the lower part flexible? Is it supposed to be permanent upright with no flexibly besides the handheld option?
It does flex at the bottom of the attachment of the floor head. I did have to push a little harder than I thought I should (afraid I would break something) But if you look on the box it shows where it flexes.
Can you somehow reduce the suction? It is very hard to push.
The suction is so strong it doesnt pick up anything. The suction holds it to the floor preventing things to get in.
I just purchased this little vacuum and it is quite impressive for the size. Great suction and love the removable hand vacuum option. Great for getting to hard to reach spaces such as behind bathroom toilets. You might try using a different angle on the broom head to make it easier to push on carpet.
How do you install the vacuum head to the vacuum stick for Easy Home stick vacuum model AS01 2018
Purchased this a couple weeks ago and can’t use it on the kitchen floor. There is no way to adjust the height on it and it suctions right to the floor.
Received one as a gift however I am unable to open it to clean it out – nothing happens when pressing the release button
I purchased the vacuum from Aldi last month. I am very impressed with how well it works! I love the detachable hand-held base for my stairs and even my car. Although it can be a little harder to push on some rugs, I use it mainly on my hardwoods and tile. Much easier than sweeping!
How you clean the Hepa filter? Do you throw it in a washing machine? Should I put it in the dryer to dry it.
How can I get a replacement filter for my Easy Home Stick vacuum? I absolutely love this vacuum. It is great for fast and easy pick ups and works so well for pet hair in kitchen and on hardwood floors. Could NOT be without it.!!! Please advise. My filters need replacing. Thank you.
Google “easy home vacuum filter”. Walmart, Amazon and ebay all came up for me. They look the same as what I have.

I have an older stik vac which is just a dustbuster with a long handle. But anyway I need a filter, but cant find one that truely fits. Find ones close in size, but most are jut cheap. I want a pleated one like the original. So where can I find one?
