Seven Aldi products were recently announced as 2021 Product of the Year USA award winners. Many Aldi fans will be familiar with the winning items, which include protein pancake mix, Everything Bagel Seasoning, almond milk coffee creamer, cheese, white cheddar cheese popcorn, Greek yogurt, and bean chips.

Product of the Year describes itself as “the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation.” Each year, entries are accepted for products that were launched during the previous year, and specific categories include food, beverages, personal care, household care, and more. A winner is selected in each category through a survey conducted by the consumer research company Kantar.

Product of the Year states:

In the US, the Product of the Year seal is backed by the votes of over 40,000 consumers, serving as a shortcut for shoppers in the supermarket, saving them time and money. For manufacturers of the winning products, the award is a powerful marketing message proven to increase product trial, awareness, distribution and sales.

Award-winning Product of the Year Aldi products are:

  1. Breakfast: Aunt Maple’s Protein Pancake Mix
  2. Cheese: Emporium Selection 1,000 Day Gouda & 4 Year Cheddar
  3. Chips: Simply Nature Bean Chips
  4. Coffee: Friendly Farms Almondmilk Coffee Creamer
  5. Condiment: Stonemill Everything Bagel Seasoning
