Besides selling a variety of staples such as bread, milk, eggs, and meat, Aldi sells a new rotation of limited-time specials called Aldi Finds every week. In addition, Aldi stocks some products that aren’t on shelves year round but stick around longer than Aldi Finds. These are Seasonal items or Seasonal Favorites. In the fall, Seasonal items include pumpkin cake rolls and pumpkin cinnamon rolls. During the summer, Seasonal items include all kinds of warm-weather treats such as potato and macaroni salads, special foods for the grill, and all kinds of ice cream and frozen desserts.
Summer isn’t over yet, so if you haven’t tried these Seasonal items from Aldi, there’s still time. The following is a list of some of our favorite summer Seasonal items at our favorite German grocer.
L’oven Fresh Keto Friendly Buns. For the carb-conscious, these buns allow you to still a enjoy a burger or cold cut sandwich with less guilt.
Emporium Selection Halloumi Grilling Cheese. Another unique low-carb option. This cheese originated in the country of Cyprus, has a high melting point, and a tangy salty taste similar to mozzarella or feta cheeses. Throw some on the grill for a fun treat.
Burman’s Regional Style BBQ Sauces. These sauces come in several varieties: Kansas City, Carolina, Texas, and Memphis. I stock up on these each summer so we have enough to last the whole year, and the Kansas City sauce is a family favorite.
Reggano Ranch and Bacon Pasta Salad Kit. Similar to Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad kits, this is another Aldi product I stock up on during the summer months so we can enjoy zesty pasta salad any time of year. Aldi sells this in a mixed case with a classic pasta salad, which is fine but not as good as the ranch and bacon option.
Little Salad Bar Caprese Pasta Salad. This salad was new at Aldi a few summers ago, and I’ve bought a few tubs every year since it came out. The thick and hearty noodles pair well with cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, bell peppers, and a vinaigrette dressing for a refreshing summer lunch or as a side dish for a dinner or cookout.
Baker’s Corner Lemon Pound Cake Mix. If you like lemon, this easy cake mix is a must-try. Trust us!
Earth Grown Non Dairy Ice Cream Bars. Vegan ice cream has become more mainstream, and these bars don’t disappoint. They taste just like traditional ice cream and feature thick chocolate coatings. They come in three indulgent flavors: caramel, peanut butter, and forest fruit.
Sundae Shoppe Milk or Dark Chocolate Covered Frozen Bananas. Aldi has long sold chocolate-covered bananas from name-brand producer Diana’s Bananas, including traditional milk or dark chocolate bananas and, more recently, peanut butter cup and salted caramel frozen bananas. These Sundae Shoppe Aldi private label bananas are the discount grocer’s own take on the name-brand confections, and they’re quite good.

How in the world can Aldi deem Keto Hamburger Rolls a seasonal product. Some people eat hamburgers all year long! I was so happy to find them since both the keto rolls and white bread are far superior to other keto bread products I have tried. I sincerely hope they decide to make the two items permanent products and would hope that at some point they may have hot dog rolls available as well.
I’m guessing they’re seasonal because summer is the most popular time for grilling, but coming from a family that eats a lot of burgers all year, I hear you. If you have a deep freezer, I recommend stocking up while they’re still in stores.
