Belavi Solar Fire Bowl

EDITOR’S NOTES:

  • We first wrote this post as an open thread in 2023. In June of 2025, we bought a solar fire bowl to try for ourselves. This post has been updated to reflect that, and we’ve shared information at the end of the post about how the fire bowl we bough has held up during a year of use.
  • Aldi most recently advertised these for the week of May 6th, 2026. In 2026, the online ad lists two prices, $12.99 and $19.99. These may be available in different sizes in 2026, but since Aldi is not sharing details on its recently redesigned website, we aren’t certain.

It’s summer time, which means outdoor time. Aldi sells everything you need to furnish and decorate your outdoor space for the season. My own front porch and back yard have a large collection of Aldi products, including a two-person glider, a two-person swing, a patio umbrella, a fire ring, a children’s disc swing, garden decorations, and various planters for flowers and veggies.

In the most recent Aldi ad, I noticed one of the more unique outdoor products Aldi sells was returning: a solar fire bowl. This offers some ambient light and a flickering flame effect without the fire risk of an open flame, making it a nice option for placing on a walkway, porch, or outdoor dining table or end table.

After admiring these bowls for several years, I decided to finally buy one in the summer of 2025.

Belavi Solar Fire Bowl

The Belavi Solar Fire Bowl cost $16.99 when I bought it in June of 2025. That’s the same price it cost when we first wrote about it in May of 2023.

(As of 2026, Aldi is listing two prices in its online ad — $19.99 and $12.99. That leads us to wonder if Aldi is selling this in two different sizes, but we won’t know until it actually shows up in stores.)

This Aldi solar fire bowl looks similar to a solar table light on Amazon that cost $19 in 2025 and 2026. So it looks like the Aldi version is a decent deal.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some later point. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.

This is sold under the Belavi brand, which is not a company. Instead, it’s the private label Aldi uses for various gardening and outdoor products.

Here’s more information about the 2025 solar fire bowl, according to Aldi:

  • Dimensions: 9.84″ x 9.84″ x 7.68″
  • Available in bronze or matte black finishes (I bought one with the bronze finish)
  • Soothing simulated flame illuminates up to 6 hours
  • Solar powered
  • Weather resistant
  • Great for indoor or outdoor use

The Aldi online ad stated this comes with a one-year warranty, but no warranty information came with our fire bowl. I also checked my receipt, since Aldi receipts will often state if an item comes with a warranty, and there was nothing on my receipt. I’m guessing that means this doesn’t actually have a warranty.

Using the Solar Fire Bowl:

Looking down into the fire bowl.

To use the fire bowl for the first time, remove the solar light that’s inside the bowl from its holder. Turn the solar light over and make sure the switch is in the ON position. Reinsert the solar light into the holder. The light will need six hours of direct sunlight to fully charge, according to the instruction card that came with the fire bowl.

The light automatically turns on at dusk. You should turn the switch to the OFF position if you’re storing the fire bowl in a dark environment.

The light on the first evening I had it.

This fire bowl is a nice size. I put it on my back patio table where it will get good sunlight during the day. It lit up with a pretty flame effect on the first evening I had it, even though it hadn’t yet had six hours to charge. It doesn’t put out enough light to fully illuminate a space, but it gives off a pleasant ambient light, and the cutout designs in the bowl add a pretty touch.

The one thing that remains to be seen is how long the light lasts. In my experience, solar lights from Aldi don’t always last forever. I’ll update this post later with more info on how the fire bowl performs after I’ve had it longer.

The Verdict:

The Belavi Solar Fire Bowl charges by day and lights up with a flickering flame effect at night. We love how it looks on a table on our patio. We don’t yet know how long it will last, but so far, we like it.

UPDATE (4/30/2026) — We’ve owned this solar fire bowl for nearly and year, and we love it. It’s large, casts a nice glow, and looks terrific. The light has held up and worked well so far, too.

  5. I purchased 2 of these solar Fire Bowls at Aldi in May. One of the Solar Fire Bowls continue to recharge and light up when it gets dark however the 2nd Solar Fire Bowl will not hold a charge and as a result does not light up when it gets dark. There is a one year warranty on this product. I have the receipt. Will Aldi refund my money?

    1. I recommend contacting the company that services the warranty. In my experience with other Aldi products under warranty, the warranty company will usually refund your money if they can’t replace your product.

  6. I bought this in May and it has way exceeded my expectations! I forgot where I had bought it and since November I’ve been trying to find it everywhere so I could buy several more. It’s large, looks like real fire, it’s lit consistently mostly all night and just really classy. Tonight in Jauary 2024 while organizing tax receipts, I read an Aldi receipt and there it was!!! Just having the proper name to search, solved the problem. I see it listed at Amazon for much more…but Yes! It’s the best outdoor solar light I have bought. I wish Aldi would sell again in the Spring!!

  7. I have enjoyed my solar bowl for a few months and now it has stopped ! How do I go about getting a replacement solar center insert? I loved the look at night when it was working.

  8. I was able to buy a replacement solar light for center for $12.99 with 0 shipping. I called the number on the tag and was thrilled to get a replacement!

    1. Jacqueline, would you have the phone number for me to be able to call? I threw my tag away and I have 2 problem ones! Thank you!

      1. I hope she does because one of mine only lasted about a month. I need to purchase a new light piece. I tried Amazon but those are smaller and don’t fit.
