Presenting the Aldi Easy Home Warm Mist Humidifier

I live in a part of the country where the winters are cold. As a result, we deal with dry air in the winter because the furnace is frequently running. Some friends gifted us a small cool mist humidifier years ago, and we often pull it out and run it when our skin and nasal passages start to feel dry.

Aldi has sold several different cool mist humidifiers over the years, including a large room humidifier, a portable cool mist humidifier, an LED ultrasonic humidifier, and some children’s humidifiers.

Most of the humidifiers Aldi sells are cool mist humidifiers, which, as their name suggests, emit cool moisture that can be ideal for use year round. Cool mist humidifiers are safer around kids and pets because they don’t heat water, and they’re also deemed better for helping to alleviate common cold symptoms such as congestion and coughs. However, cool mist humidifiers can also grow bacteria and mold more quickly, so you have to make sure to clean them regularly.

In contrast, warm mist humidifiers don’t promote bacterial growth as easily as cool mist humidifiers. Warm mist humidifiers can also help warm the winter air. The downside is that warm mist humidifiers is that their hot water can present a burn risk, and the warmth they create may cause nasal passages to swell and make breathing harder, so they’re not great if you’re trying to soothe respiratory illness symptoms. Warm mist humidifiers also use more energy to heat water.

So, what type of humidifier you prefer may depend on the weather and your symptoms. If it’s a warm mist humidifier you want, though, Aldi is selling one.

What We Know:

Easy Home Warm Mist Humidifier

The Easy Home Warm Mist Humidifier (Product Code: 827672) is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are sold out at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on December 20th, 2023.

The Easy Home Warm Mist Humidifier cost $19.99 in December of 2023. That’s $5 less than what it sold for in December of 2022. This is another example we’ve seen of Aldi lowering prices on Aldi Finds in 2023. That’s also cheaper than most other warm mist humidifiers on the market.

Here’s more information about the Aldi humidifier:

  • 120 V, 60 Hz, 325 W
  • Water tank capacity: approximately 1.4 gallons
  • 2 adjustable moisture output settings
  • Steam outlet temperature: approximately 167° Fahrenheit
  • Up to 35 hours run time
  • Removable water tank for easy filling
  • Automatic switch-off when the water tank is empty
  • Overheat protection
  • Power indicator light
  • Suitable for rooms up to 376 square feet
  • Suitable for use with vapor scented pads with essential oils
  • Includes 2 vapor pads with lavender fragrance

This is sold under the Easy Home brand. That’s not a company but rather is the private label Aldi uses for assorted home goods.

The 2022 warm mist humidifier came with a two-year warranty. Aldi has not yet published information about whether the 2023 model comes with a warranty.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t bought this humidifier, so we don’t know how well it works or how long it lasts. We write open threads to provide readers with a place to discuss Aldi products.

  1. Something this size only good for a small room. It can quickly load up and fail unless distilled water is used. If you have a furnace, get a real humidifier for the whole house. It will need regular maintenance if there are minerals in your water, which you’ll discover when you take it apart for maintenance. We have a boiler and use console humidifiers, which go through gallons a day in an 1850SF foam insulated brick house to maintain 30-40% humidity.

  2. The humidifier works fine for the small room it is in. So far it’s fine. My only complaint this far is that it heats the mist too much and could easily cause steam burns for small children or careless adults.

    • The burn risk exists with any warm mist humidifier no matter the brand, which is why cool mist humidifiers are recommended instead for use around children or pets.

  3. I bought it but am not sure I will keep it. I wanted to get it and research it since there were only 3 on the shelf. I need one for our bedroom but we are sensitive to lights. Can anyone tell me if this has night lights or light that would shine in the dark?
