Ambiano Large Room Humidifier Drops Into Aldi

I’ve had to turn on the furnace in the house during the last few weeks as the outdoor temperatures steadily descend on their way to winter. The heat doesn’t kick on too often yet at this time of year, as the daytime temperatures can often be fairly mild. So the furnace is mostly running during the early morning hours to warm the house after a cool night. But I know the time is soon coming when the furnace will run regularly day and night.

Thanks to the heat blasting out of the furnace — as well as cold air in general — winter is a time when the air tends to be drier. This can lead to dry skin, dry nasal passages, nosebleeds, dry and itchy eyes, and sore and scratchy throats. Dry air can even make people more susceptible to illnesses such as the flu.

Fortunately, you can increase moisture in indoor air and alleviate these symptoms by running a humidifier. Some friends gifted my family a small humidifier a few years ago, and we often run it in our main living areas during the winter. It really seems to make a difference.

Aldi sells several different humidifiers at various times of the year. I’ve seen portable cool mist humidifiers, LED ultrasonic humidifiers, animal-themed humidifiers for children’s rooms, and ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers.

Aldi is selling a large room humidifier that claims to be good in rooms that are up to 323 square feet. In 2024, this large room humidifier is sold under the Ambiano Aldi house brand. In 2023, it was sold under the Easy Home Aldi house brand. Neither Ambiano nor Easy Home are companies. Instead, they’re simply names Aldi puts on the home goods it sells, and it may source those products from different suppliers.

What We Know:

The Easy Home / Ambiano Large Room Humidifier (Product Code: 827676 in 2023; Product Code: 837328 in 2024) is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi doesn’t offer online ordering for any products that are not currently in stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on November 27th of 2024.

The Ambiano Large Room Humidifier cost $24.99. That’s $5 more than the $19.99 it cost in November of 2023. That’s very inexpensive compared to a lot of other humidifiers that are marketed for large spaces, although many other large-room humidifiers I found claimed to be appropriate for a lot more square footage than the Aldi humidifier. Whether the Aldi version is a good deal probably depends on the size of the space you want to humidify.

Dimensions in 2023 were 29.7 x 18 x 35.6 cm / 11.7 x 7.09 x 14 inches. We’re assuming it’s the same size in 2024.

In 2023, the website for Aldi indicated this came with a two-year warranty serviced by Tempo, a common Aldi warranty provider. Tempo has provided warranty service for other Aldi products including an electric s’mores maker, wireless earbuds, and an upright bagless vacuum. Aldi has not yet published information about whether the 2024 humidifier has a warranty, but the chances are good that it does.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t purchased this humidifier, so we don’t know how well it works or how long it lasts. We write open threads to provide a place for readers to talk about Aldi products.
