Aldi Debuts the Ambiano 4-Quart Air Fryer

My air fryer gets a lot of use. Our family has used air fryers in a couple of different sizes for several years now, and they’re a great oil-free way to crisp up French fries or any kind of breaded food such as chicken nuggets or tenders, samosas, egg rolls, or shrimp. They’re also good for hash browns or homemade seasoned potatoes. I’ve cooked corn on the cob, salmon, and baked potatoes in our air fryer as well. It’s also useful for reheating leftovers such as seasoned oven-baked chicken.

It is one of the most-used cooking appliances in my kitchen, right up there with my stovetop, oven, and microwave. Besides being a healthier way to cook breaded or fried foods, it also sometimes frees up my other appliances so I can cook multiple foods at once.

Aldi has rotated a variety of different air fryers onto its middle aisle shelves over the years. We initially bought a smaller air fryer model and then upgraded more recently to a larger 6-quart version. Aldi also sometimes sells compact air fryers or air fryers as large as 8 quarts.

Most recently, Aldi is introducing a mid-sized 4-quart air fryer. Here are the details.

What We Know:

Ambiano 4-Quart Air Fryer

The Ambiano 4-Quart Air Fryer (Product Code: 709817) is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some point. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products not currently in stock at your local store.

The air fryer cost $39.99 in September of 2023. That’s less than other 4-quart air fryers on Amazon.

Here’s more information, according to Aldi:

  • Features a digital touchscreen display
  • Offers adjustable temperature and timer with 8 preset cooking functions
  • Includes dishwasher safe nonstick basket and crisping tray for easy cleanup
  • Features a 3.6-lb. food capacity; recommended for up to 4–6 people

This is sold under the Ambiano brand. This is not a separate company. Instead, it’s a private label Aldi uses for various kitchen products and home goods.

What We Don’t Know:

In our experience, Aldi air fryers tend to be solid performers, but we haven’t tried this specific air fryer, so we don’t know for sure how well it works. Aldi also has not yet published information about whether this particular air fryer comes with any kind of warranty. We write open threads so readers can discuss Aldi products.

  1. Not wanting to be off topic, but I discovered that Costco will have Gourmia’s 7 qt Digital Air Fryer for $39.99 starting Sept 27th.

Anyone able to give pros and cons between the two units?

  2. This fryer is so good! Very even cooking and very stable and well-made for the price, if the electronics hold up too then their buyer nailed it. The handle stays cool, and I think the limited warranty went out to three years? But the address for that was in Canada so I don’t think anyone in the US will be mailing theirs in for service.

The menu settings remember the last time and temp you set, a nice touch when you’re cooking in batches.
