If you’re in the market for an area rug, don’t forget to check out the middle aisle at Aldi. The grocer frequently rotates rugs and mats of all sizes onto the shelves as limited-time specials. When it comes to large area rugs, I’ve seen Aldi sell everything from washable area rugs to indoor/outdoor area rugs to shag rugs. I’ve even purchased a couple of area rugs from Aldi over the years, and they’ve held up as well as other rugs I’ve bought from retailers such as Target.
This spring, one of the larger area rugs I’ve seen Aldi offer is about to hit the shelves. It’s a 6-foot by 9-foot vintage-style area rug that comes in four different designs. Most of the rug designs feature traditional or vintage patterns, but there is a lined option for a bit more of a modern look as well.
What We Know:
The Huntington Home 6′ x 9′ Signature Vintage Area Rug (Product Code: 708440) is an Aldi Find, so you’ll only find it in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are out of stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 22nd, 2024.
The Huntington Home 6′ x 9′ Signature Vintage Area Rug cost $69.99 at the time of publication. That’s on the lower end of prices for 6′ x 9′ vintage area rugs on Amazon.

This is sold under the Huntington Home brand. There is no company called Huntington Home. Instead, that’s the name Aldi puts on some of the home goods it sells, which it sources from various suppliers.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet purchased this rug, so we don’t know how durable it is or how easy it is to care for. We are considering purchasing one for our living room once these arrive in our local stores. In the meantime, we write open threads to provide readers with a place to talk about Aldi products.

I bought one for my dining room, it’s beautiful and soft on the feet. I’m thrilled with my purchase. Wish I could get a runner as well. Mine is ivory gray black and beige.
