Clancy’s Roasted Sweet Corn Flavored Popcorn
EDITOR’S NOTE: We bought and reviewed this in 2022. Aldi is selling identical roasted sweet corn flavored popcorn the week of August 13th, 2025, for $2.79 for 6 ounces. That’s up 10 cents from when Aldi last sold it in May of 2025.
Some products at Aldi are obvious cult favorites. The “red bag” chicken. The peanut butter cups. The take and bake pizzas. The accent cabinet. The kids’ Aldi food market playset.
Then there are other products that don’t get quite as much fanfare, but you still see them mentioned on Aldi social media and you know they’re popular. The pub pretzels. The burnt ends. The Mediterranean herb salmon.
Every once in a while, Aldi sells popcorn that falls into that second category. It’s really good, with a unique seasoning, and while it garners some chatter among fans, it’s perhaps one of the more underrated snacks Aldi sells.
Clancy’s Roasted Sweet Corn Flavored Popcorn cost $2.49 for a 6-ounce bag when we first bought it in 2022. (As of August of 2025, it’s $2.79 for 6 ounces.)
This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, you’ll have to wait until whenever Aldi decides to bring it back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
The package describes this as “air popped & lightly seasoned with the flavor of roasted sweet corn.” It is kosher and gluten free.
If you’re watching out for allergens, this contains milk.
One package contains about six servings. A 2-cup (28-gram) serving has 150 calories, 10 grams of total fat (13% DV), 3 grams of saturated fat (15% DV), 290 mg of sodium (5% DV), 14 grams of total carbohydrates (5% DV), and 1 gram of added sugars (2% DV).
This roasted sweet corn popcorn tastes like traditional buttered popcorn kicked up a notch. It has more corn flavor, along with notes of butter, salt, and pepper. Its flavor is reminiscent of the corn on the cob I used to eat at family reunions in the Midwest, where they roasted the corn on the cob in the husk and we generously seasoned it with butter, salt, and pepper. It is a real treat.
The Verdict:
Clancy’s Roasted Sweet Corn Flavored Popcorn captures the essence of roasted corn on the cob coated with butter and seasonings. If you like corn, and if you like popcorn, give this a try.
Our entire family loved the Clancy roasted sweet corn chips but can’t find them in the store now !! Was it a seasonal item or can we purchase it on line !
Maureen, there is a brand called Herr’s that makes both popcorn and potato chips in Roasted Sweet Corn flavor; the Aldi popcorn tastes the same to us, maybe they’re the ones making it for Aldi, as well. In any case, if you have access to any locations of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet or Big Lots stores, they often have both the Herr’s chips and popcorn. Hope this helps!
