Get Your Mess Under Control with the Huntington Home 16-Cubby Organizer

EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2024.

It’s organizing season. Whether you’re moving a student into a college dorm, or you’re looking for a way to corral all the kid clutter in your entryway or mudroom, late summer is a time when many of us are eager to develop systems to help us during the coming school year. Even if you don’t have school-age children, looking ahead to the fall, when people begin spending more time indoors, can also prompt us to get more organized.

Aldi sells plenty to help get organized. Over the years, I’ve purchased everything from chrome shelves to shoe organizers at Aldi.

Recently, Aldi reintroduced a 16-cubby organizer it’s sold previously. This fabric-and-pole unit is intended for use in entries, bedrooms, closets, or anywhere else you need extra storage. It can hold shoes, accessories, clothing, small toys, craft supplies, or anything else that will fit in the small cubbies. While I’ve never tried this exact organizer, I have a similarly constructed organizer to stash my husband’s shoe collection, and it works surprisingly well.

Here’s more info on the 16-cubby organizer.

What We Know:

Huntington Home 16-Cubby Organizer

The Huntington Home 16-Cubby Organizer (Product Code: 836165 in 2024; Product Code: 48648 in 2023) cost $19.99 in August of 2024. That’s the same price it was in August of 2023. That’s less than most other organizers on Amazon.

Aldi sold the same organizer for $22.99 in 2022. This is yet another example I’ve seen of Aldi quietly dialing back prices on many Aldi Finds.

This organizer is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, these are gone until whenever Aldi might decide to bring these back, if ever. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.

Here’s more information about the organizer, according to Aldi:

  • Available in beige or gray
  • Holds up to 16 pairs of shoes or miscellaneous items
  • Maximize floor space and prevent clutter in entryways, closets, or bedrooms
  • Made from heavy-duty polyester/cotton fabric supported by a high-quality durable metal frame
  • Flat rigid top can be used as a shelf
  • Quick and easy to assemble
  • Dimensions: 33.3″ W x 13.7″ D x 25.4″ H
  • Each cubby: 7.48″ W x 11.02″ D x 5.51″ H

This is sold under the Huntington Home brand, which is not a company. Instead, it’s the private label Aldi uses for various home goods such as shower bags, wall sconces, desk lamps, and more.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried this organizer, so we don’t know how easy it is to assemble or how well it works. We write open threads so readers can discuss Aldi products.

  1. We tried assembling this today and a piece broke off on one of the metal poles. The rubber ends don’t fit the metal poles. I tried calling the customer service number on the instructions manual because it says 1 year warranty and the number goes straight to voicemail. Then you’re greeted with another message saying the voicemail box is completely full then hangs up.
The Aldi worker told me she bought one last year and it broke on her immediately. She said there is a warranty on it, but she didn’t save her receipt so she couldn’t get a replacement. I’m pretty disappointed because I was so excited for this.

    1. That’s disappointing. I would recommend you contact Aldi and let them know that you can’t contact their warranty service provider because they have a full voicemail box. We had the same problem with a desk we bought from Aldi years ago, and Aldi was able to get the warranty provider to actually contact us and make it right.

  2. I bought this a week ago to organize my shoes in my closet. It was a pain to assemble but once it was done it worked! Black rubber things don’t fit on the poles and loose strings are coming off from the fabric… but it’s doing its job as of now and holding my 8 pairs of sneakers plus 3 pairs of sandals and 3 small purses/fanny packs! I do love the set up of these cubbies that if this one fails I do have one similar saved to my Amazon cart for $40

    1. Update! Have had this a week and it broke!! The fabric isn’t as strong and it seems… the threads coming apart etc. now I’m out $20 😭🤦‍♀️
