This Week at Aldi: The Ad for August 14, 2019

Each week we highlight a few of the more interesting items in the upcoming Aldi ad. Note that, in our area, the ad takes effect on Wednesday, but in some areas it may take effect as early as today, Sunday.

This week’s theme is kitchen items, including some Mexican food-themed stuff, along with clothing, health and mobility products, cleaning supplies, and breakfast foods.

The Most Interesting Thing We Saw:

Ambiano Cold Brew Coffee Maker


  • Ambiano Cold Brew Coffee Maker, $39.99. Aldi has a wide array of all things coffee, including doughnut store blends, fair-trade coffee, refrigerated drinks, single serve coffee makers, and now a cold brew coffee maker. This features four brew strengths and brews in 10 minutes. It makes iced coffees, iced macchiatos, iced lattes, and more. It includes a 24-oz. BPA-free serving pitcher, dishwasher-safe parts, removable filter basket, LED display, stainless steel base, locking lid, and variable timer settings. We have a few observations here.

  • Crofton Microwave Breakfast Accessories, $4.99. Choices include a bacon-cooking tray and egg boiler.
  • Crofton Egg Poacher, $12.99.
  • Crofton Eggccessories, $2.49 each. Choose from an egg slicer, egg timer, and yolk separator.
  • Crofton Avocado Accessories, $3.99 each. Choose a slicer or storer.
  • Crofton Citrus Accessories, $3.99. Choices include a lemon juicer, lime juicer, or citrus squeezer and mixer.

Mexican-themed kitchen items and food include:

  • Ambiano Churro or Quesadilla Maker, $12.99 each. Both feature nonstick interiors.
  • Crofton Paella Pan, $9.99. Measures 15″ in diameter.

  • Crofton Taco Plates, $4.99 per four-pack.
  • Cook House Mexican Sauce Pouches, $2.19 for 8 oz. Assorted varieties.

  • Welby Pulse Oximeter, $19.99. Monitors heart rate and oxygen levels and features 68 pulse rate measurements, 10 adjustable brightness levels, multi-directional screen, one-button operation, and automatic power off. Includes lanyard, carrying case, and batteries.

  • In the Pink Pink Moscato, see price in store. 1.5 L, from South Africa. Aldi states: “Aromas and flavors of strawberry, tropical fruit and melon lead to a sweet, refreshing finish. Enjoy as an aperitif, with fruit salads, desserts, or on its own with friends.”
