Our Aldi Wish List for 2025

The new year means it’s time once again to ask our writers what products they’d like to see at Aldi in the coming year. These might be products Aldi has never sold before, or they might be products we haven’t seen in a while at Aldi. They might be products we wish Aldi would sell every day or products we wish Aldi would sell once a year or seasonally.
This year, our wish list has some intangible things as well, including wishing for a fix to Aldi’s disastrous online ad redesign.
Here are our wish lists from past years:
Without further ado, here’s our 2025 Aldi wish list.
Joshua’s Wish List:
A better online Aldi Find upcoming ad. Back in December, Aldi got rid of its old, reliable upcoming ad format in favor of an Instacart-powered list that doesn’t tell you much of anything. We don’t like it, and we’ve seen plenty of shoppers on social media say they don’t like it, either. I’m holding out hope that shopper frustration will eventually give us a fix.
Dental floss. I know this sounds like a pretty silly item, but let’s be real — it’s even sillier that Aldi doesn’t sell it. Floss is an essential part of oral hygiene and to our knowledge the grocer has never carried it, not even a name-brand version. It’s beyond time to fix that.
Premade sandwiches. Aldi answered my prayers in 2024 by adding wraps to its Regular Buy lineup, bringing it up to snuff with other grocers, including its distant cousin Trader Joe’s. Kudos there. I would love to see the grocer stock the occasional fresh sandwich or sub, even if it was just an Aldi Find or Seasonal Item.
The old Season’s Choice Hash Browns. Aldi used to sell some terrific hash browns. Then, the store dropped them for inferior Mydibel Hash Browns before reintroducing a new Season’s Choice Hash Browns that may just be rebranded Mydibel Hash Browns. Most Aldi products have gotten better with time, but here is an instance where older is better.
Baseball-style shelled dry roasted peanuts. I’m a big fan of roasted peanuts in a shell, which have a flavor altogether distinct from cocktail or seasoned peanuts and make for a great snack. As a point of fact, Aldi once sold just such a peanut, first as an Aldi Find and later as a Seasonal Item. I’d love to see this sneak back into stores during the summer months.
Mild salsa con queso. Aldi’s queso dip is pretty good, enough to be a hit whenever we serve it. It also is borderline medium. I wouldn’t mind seeing a queso that is more on the mild side, even as an Aldi Find or Seasonal Item.
Feminine hygiene products. I’m sure our other writers will have plenty to say about this — and they already have — but I want to add my voice, too. They’re necessities, and Aldi should carry them.
Rachael’s Wish List:
A fix to the awful online upcoming Aldi Finds ad. We loathe the new online ad format. It is not user friendly and doesn’t show all the upcoming specials, including food items at the time this post was written. We don’t know the full range of what will be in stores on any given week. It’s affected our ability to plan what products to purchase and review. We really hope Aldi is listening to all the customer feedback and does something to fix this.
Feminine hygiene products. It doesn’t seem like 2024 was a great year for Aldi in terms of building customer satisfaction and goodwill. While the online ad redesign ranks as the top irritant, many of our readers said they were also put off by Aldi’s decision to discontinue its house brand Blossom line of pads and liners during the summer of 2024. I used to buy Aldi Blossom feminine hygiene products regularly. They were inexpensive and worked well. It’s disappointing that Aldi doesn’t carry any period supplies at all now. Even if Aldi sold something more environmentally sustainable like menstrual cups or reusable pads as occasional Aldi Finds, that would be something.
Clothing that reliably fits well. Whenever I buy Aldi clothing, it’s a coin toss whether it will fit well. Some of my Aldi clothing gets frequent wear, while other Aldi clothing pieces seem like they weren’t made to fit actual human beings. Also, I wish Aldi would package their clothing so we could more easily see what it looks like in the store.
A decent loose powder or non-pac gel dishwasher detergent option. Dishwasher pacs and laundry detergent pacs are made with a thin “dissolvable” film of plastic to hold the detergent components, but that dissolved plastic doesn’t completely go away, and a debate is ongoing about whether these are contributing to our global microplastic pollution problem. Aldi does not sell loose dishwasher detergent, and their liquid gel dishwasher detergent is not good. That means I now buy cartons of loose name-brand dishwasher detergent from another store.
A tea Advent calendar that’s actually good. I’ve been requesting that Aldi sell a tea Advent calendar for years, and they finally sold one in 2024. However, many of the tea flavors tasted weak, or they tasted odd and artificial. We bailed about halfway through the calendar because it just wasn’t doing it for us.
The option to buy single pieces of produce. I say it every year and I’ll say it again. This goes for lemons, limes, potatoes, onions, zucchini, bell peppers, and fresh ginger. I know I could cut or juice and then freeze some of these things for later use, but that’s an extra step that other grocery stores don’t make me do.
Orchid flower pots. Aldi sells orchid plants several times a year, especially around Valentine’s Day. Orchids don’t like “wet feet” and grow well in pots designed with special drainage holes in the sides, but orchids aren’t usually sold in those specialized orchid planters and you have to buy them separately. Considering how many orchids Aldi sells, it would make sense for Aldi to sell orchid planters once in a while.
Journey to India Butter Chicken as a year-round Regular Buy. This frozen Indian entree was named our 2023 Aldi Find of the year. It’s not easy to find grocery store Indian food that is as good as what I get at an authentic restaurant. This frozen entree was excellent and exceeded my expectations.
Mama Cozzi’s Deep Dish Pizza Singles as a year-round Regular Buy. Aldi introduced these single-serving pepperoni pizzas as a limited-time Aldi Find in September of 2024, and they are like restaurant-quality personal pan pizzas.
A hammock chair stand or C frame for all the hanging hammock chairs Aldi sells. Likewise, some regular freestanding hammock frames would be nice, too, for times when you don’t have trees to hang your Aldi hammock from.
Clotted cream. This British favorite is good for spooning on top of scones, and Aldi usually sells scones several times a year. I often only find clotted cream at international grocery stores, but Aldi is uniquely suited to sell clotted cream because of its European origins and because it routinely sells other international products including German fare. Aldi is like a miniature global grocery store. Plus, if Aldi can occasionally sell other British treats such as jarred lemon curd, surely they could sell jars of clotted cream once a year.
Potato salad and pasta salad as year-round Regular Buys. Aldi sells these only during the warmer months when cookouts and barbecuing are on the agenda, but if comments from our Aldi Reviewer readers are any indication, people don’t eat potato salad and macaroni salad only during the summer. It’d be nice to see basic versions of these sold all year.
What’s on your Aldi wish list this year? Leave us a comment below! Just keep our community guidelines in mind.

I especially agree about the produce. I do not like having to purchase five onions when I only need one. At that point I am forced to go to another local store that does sell just one. Very good article! Thank you for all you do.
Thanks, James!
I would like to see more Greek foods offered, especially the kabobs, which I love. Also spanakopita, as well as other Greek dishes and desserts. In addition some dry Greek seasoning.
I hope you get your wish – it’s my wish, too. I hate the new Aldi Finds format…and to prove it, I haven’t been to Aldi going on (3) weeks now. For years, I made a new list on Wednesday mornings when the new ad came out and shopped accordingly. Now, it’s just a “peek”. That’s not detailed enough for me to make a list and get in the car. Shrug.
I would love to see dental floss and single pieces of produce ( especially potatoes).
Aldi has really let vegans and vegetarians down by eliminating most of its frozen meat substitutes, such as tge soy protein burgers(my personal favorite), chicken nuggets and patties, and sausages, both Italian and breakfast. All they have left us with are the excellent meatballs, the acceptable black bean chipotle burgers, and the substandard vegetable patties. I would like to see them expand t heir offerings once again.
I wish Aldi would carry laundry detergent sheets. I’ve been using them for a couple of years now. Cardboard envelope or box containers make for easy recycling and no plastic!
I wasn’t familiar with laundry detergent sheets, but after seeing your comment, I found some at my local regular grocery store. I bought a small box to try, and so far they’re working great. Thanks for the tip! And yes, these are definitely something Aldi needs to carry!
Mama Cozzis Deep Dish Pizza! Delicious and economical!
CHUNKY peanut butter with only peanuts as the one ingredient.
Wish list:
Chips cooked in avocado or olive oil
More organic produce options
More clean food options – no “natural flavors” or other additives
Grass fed whole milk
Live Gluten Free pizza dough available 365
More pasture raised meats and poultry
I’d love to see more pastured meat as well!
Yes, yes and YES! Those are all great suggestions.
On the subject of the new Aldi weekly add format: I HATE IT. I didn’t like it when the default for the ad went from Aldi.us to new.aldi.us about a year ago. Now I had to enter the “old” url in order to see prices and descriptions. The old “upcoming finds” drove foot traffic to the store…I mean half the fun of going to Aldi for that Special Find I saw in “upcoming finds” was seeing other things to buy as well once I was in the store. It’s a treasure hunt you can’t get from an online experience. Please post information about the best way bring our discontent to Aldi’s attention. (I don’t “do” Social Media because it has become too “anti-social” for me)
Hi, Lynn. Here are a few ways you can contact Aldi: https://www.aldireviewer.com/contact-aldi/
Thanks Rachel! That first link (https://www.aldi.us/en/about-aldi/contact-us/) is dead, but the email-to Aldi link worked to send them my opinion of their new website. THAT link is now difficult to impossible to find on the new website, so double thanks to you.
I find your reviews very helpful and Aldi should be grateful to you for my increased spending 😊
Thanks, Lynn! We appreciate you letting us know about the dead link. It should be fixed now.
Well…I sent a message to Aldi and got an AI response to contact Instagram to “resolve my issue”. Bu it turns out you have to have an Instacart account to do that!!! THAT’S MY POINT! I don’t use Instacart and don’t intend to ever use Instacart. This change benefits (?) only those who order online, to the detriment of those of us who prefer to shop in person.
frozen avocados
There usually some spinach/feta/phyllo blossoms, but didn’t see any this year. Would like to see them year round. They are better than the triangular ones.
Bring back Blossoms sanitary pads.
I wish they would bring back the Apple Strudel bread that I fell in love with. I’m not even sure if they carry it anymore because I stopped looking when the started skimping on the crumble topping. I know it isn’t the best/healthiest option but I like to have a treat breakfast once per week and this was on the list of options I liked. One thing I learned reading this is that sometimes they carry scones. I never knew this and I will look for them and hope!
Frozen Sweet Potato Praline Casserole -it is only sold around Thanksgiving. Have it year round or at least for Christmas and Easter.
Almond yogurt
Stop using cellophane for packaging bakery goods and produce. It isn’t recyclable.
I also would like single potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and citrus.
Pork schnitzel year-round.
Fresh turkey breast halves and thighs.
Aldi’s brand of bar soap. All they sell now is Dove.
A daytime facial moisturizer that has sunscreen in it.
And of course, dental floss.
I would love to see cartons of smoked whitefish and also the Wild Herring year round.
Would love to see Alouette spreadable Brie cheese all year round
I’m the oddball that Aldi’s seems to make clothing for! I’ve been pleasantly surprised by almost everything I’ve purchased! Rarely do I need to return anything, but I gotta agree that the packaging is a pain.
