KIRKTON HOUSE Faux Sheepskin Rug Returning to Aldi

If you’re looking for floor coverings, you can’t go wrong taking a look in the middle aisle at Aldi. While most people know Aldi as the place to buy peanut butter cups or take and bake pizzas or some pretty good takeout-style mandarin orange chicken, the discount retailer also sells quite a few home goods. I’ve bought my share of home décor at Aldi, including seasonal signs, a blanket ladder, and various throw rugs and doormats.

In fact, whenever I write about Aldi rugs here, I’ve been surprised at how much attention they garner. Aldi doesn’t always stock rugs, but in recent years, I’ve seen washable rugs, three-piece decorative rug sets, indoor/outdoor area rugs, and shag rugs make their way through the store.

The week of February 5th, 2025, a faux sheepskin rug is returning to Aldi.

In previous years, this was sold under the Huntington Home house brand, but in 2025 Aldi is selling it under its new KIRKTON HOUSE brand. Neither of those are companies; they’re simply names Aldi creates to put on home goods it sources from assorted suppliers.

What We Know:

The KIRKTON HOUSE Faux Sheepskin Rug (Product Code: 705850 in 2023) cost $14.99 in February of 2025. That’s the same price the rug cost in February of 2024. That’s also less than the $19.99 it sold for in February of 2023, the first time we saw Aldi sell it. This is one of countless examples I’ve seen of Aldi lowering prices on Aldi Finds. That’s also on the lower range of prices for similar rugs on Amazon.

In 2025 (the same as 2024), the rug is available in white, brown, or beige. In 2023, it was available in white, gray, or beige.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s in stores for only a limited time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, this is gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some later point. You can’t get online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local Aldi.

As of late 2024, Aldi no longer shares detailed information such as measurements about its limited specials (a decision we don’t like). We do know that in previous years, the rug measured 24 inches by 36 inches. We won’t know if the 2025 rug is the same size until it actually shows up in stores.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet purchased this faux sheepskin rug, so we don’t know how comfortable or soft it is or how durable it is. We write open threads to give readers a place to talk about their experiences with Aldi products.
