EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2023.

Between shopping at Aldi and Trader Joe’s — which is a cousin to Aldi — you can find some pretty good facial care products. Aldi favorites include day and night creams, while Trader Joe’s offers face wash, eye cream, watermelon facial mist, face and body sunscreen, and more.

This year during the runup to Christmas, Aldi is selling more products to help you put your best face forward, including a nano ionic facial steamer.

Facial steaming involves exposing your skin to steam from heated water, and it can have several benefits, including purging oil or sebum from pores, fighting acne, increasing hydration and circulation, and even improving absorption for serums or moisturizers applied after steaming.

You can indulge in facial steaming with a simple pot of hot water and a towel, or you can use a special device designed for facial steaming, which is what Aldi is selling.

What We Know:

Visage Nano Ionic Facial Steamer

The Visage Nano Ionic Facial Steamer (Product Code: 707985) cost $19.99 in December of 2023, which is $5 less than the $24.99 it sold for in December of 2022. At the time of writing, that’s cheaper than most other facial steamers on Amazon, which start in the $20s and go up from there, with some models cost into the $100s depending on what features you get. That makes the Aldi facial steamer a good deal.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and once that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi brings them back at some later point. If a product isn’t in stock at your local Aldi, you can’t order it online.

Visage is not a company but rather is the private label Aldi uses for various health and personal care products. Other products Aldi has sold under the Visage label include a hot air brush, a rechargeable vanity mirror, a massaging heat wrap, and a ladies’ rechargeable shaver.

Here’s more information about the facial steamer, according to Aldi:

  • Cleanse, hydrate, and soften skin
  • Add your own essential oils
  • For all skin types

The 2022 facial steamer came with a three-year warranty. Aldi has not yet published information about whether the 2023 model comes with a warranty.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried this facial steamer, so we don’t know how well it works or how it holds up. We write open threads to give readers an opportunity to talk about Aldi products.

  1. I have this steamer but the instructions aren’t clear on how to add oil because the area it says to add it doesn’t pop out.

  2. I love this product. I just bought it, and it was only $6.30! I caught a really bad cold, and this was the only thing that helped with my chest and sinus congestion. Plus it’s a lot safer than putting a towel over boiling water. Best find ever!

  3. After one use, a small spring fell out and the instruction manual doesn’t say anything about it. I tried to figure out where the spring should go, but have had no luck. Now the steamer won’t hold water, as it all leaks out.

  4. I bought this facial steamer tonight for $5.00 from Aldi on clearance. I filled it with spring water and it worked just as well as the one my daughter has and paid $50.00 for Amazon.
