These are My Absolute Favorite Home Goods From Aldi

If you’ve ever roamed the middle aisle at Aldi, you’ve probably spotted all kinds of random limited-time products for sale. The selection includes everything from small kitchen appliances to clothing to camping gear and more. Also, at any given time, there are always a few home goods in this aisle.
Yes, Aldi can be a great place to shop when you need products for your house, whether you’re looking for bedding, curtains, lamps, rugs, or just about anything. I have a small collection of Aldi home goods scattered around my house, and I definitely have a few favorites I’ve accumulated over the years.
Keep in mind that these products listed here are all Aldi Finds, which means that Aldi only had a limited supply and sold them for a short time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store. So if you want one of these items, you’ll have to keep an eye on the weekly Aldi ad and wait for it to possibly come back around, although in some cases they might never come back.
* Disclaimer: this is not a comprehensive list of best Aldi products. It is based on my personal experiences with specific Aldi products I have found useful in my own home. If you have a favorite Aldi home product, feel free to — politely — share about it in the comments.
With that said, here is my personal list of best Aldi home goods, in no particular order.
Easy Home Torchiere Floor Lamp
This useful torchiere lamp is tall and goes well in any bedroom, living room, office, family room, or anywhere you need some extra light. My particular lamp has held up to a lot of use, as it’s been the primary lamp in a bedroom in my home for more than six years.
Belavi Wooden Plant Ladder Stand
Houseplants really grew in popularity when everyone was staying home more a few years ago. I’ve had my own collection of houseplants for many years, and I finally got an official stand for them when Aldi sold this plant ladder stand a while back. It looks attractive in front of my living room window and holds a fair number of plants (many purchased from Aldi).
Easy Home Folding Step Stool
This stool has a long history in my home. We bought our first one about seven years ago and have slowly added more, so that now I have a folding step stool for almost every bedroom closet and one for my bathroom closet. They’re convenient and easy to use, and they’re just right for reaching that top shelf.
Huntington Home Wooden Candle Warmer Lantern
I like burning scented candles, but I’m also aware that burning candles aren’t great for indoor air quality. I read good things about Aldi candle warmers on an Aldi Facebook group last fall and decided to buy a candle warmer when it showed up in stores. It’s easy to use and works perfectly with Aldi 3-wick candles, without the open flame and potential soot and smoke that come with burning a candle.
Huntington Home 3-Wick and Single-Wick Candles
These candles are good for burning on their own, or for using in a candle warmer like the one above. They come in a variety of pleasant scents, and Aldi is always rotating seasonal scents in and out of stores. They generally burn all right, although with the 3-wick candles I sometimes have to pour some melted wax into the trash so the wicks don’t drown, and I don’t deal with that issue at all if I use the candles in my candle warmer.
Huntington Home Scented Wax Melts
These are another good way to avoid the open flame, smoke, and soot of burning candles while still putting some appealing scent in your home. Aldi occasionally sells various wax warmers in different designs, and you can often find wax melts like these in an array of rotating seasonal scents. The Aldi melts are a good deal, and I like them a lot better than the wax melts at Dollar Tree.
Huntington Home Luxury Bed Pillow
I know what you’re thinking. How could an Aldi pillow be any good? I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this pillow is and how well it’s held up to regular use. Not all Aldi pillows are the same, but this particular one has worked great for me.
Huntington Home Embroidered Quilt Set
I’ve had some fails with Aldi bedding, but in general Aldi bedding is a good deal. I especially like this large quilt set. I sized up and bought a King size for my Queen bed so I’d have extra covers draping over the sides.
Huntington Home Kids Quilt Set
Likewise, the kids’ bedding at Aldi has been a win in my household. The designs and colors are always cute. I bought this kid quilt a few years ago and it looks as nice as a pricier Target quilt that used to be on the bed. It’s also held up just fine. I sized up here as well, opting for a full-sized quilt on a twin bed so we wouldn’t need a bed skirt.
Easy Home Clothes Drying Rack
We’ve written about these little folding clothes drying racks from Aldi before. I own two of them and they’re things I use on a weekly basis. They’re great for drying lingerie and other delicate items, and because I’m slightly taller than average, I also use them to dry many of my shirts and pants so they don’t shrink in the dryer.
Huntington Home Wood Monitor Stand
This monitor stand was a stealth Aldi Find that just popped up in stores one day without notice. I bought it for our family computer that the kids use, and it works well at elevating the monitor while providing storage space on top and below. Because it’s made of wood, it also has a nice classy look.
Huntington Home Circle Sign
Aldi sells various circle-shaped signs throughout different seasons of the year. They can go on your front door or anywhere you want some décor. They’re trendy-looking and cost a lot less than what you’d pay at other retailers.
Huntington Home 10 Drawer Rolling Storage Cart
The German grocer sells some different sizes and styles of rolling carts at different times of year. I picked up a smaller cart that works well in a small bedroom in my house. These are great for holding craft or school supplies, makeup and personal care items, toys, hardware, or anything else you need to store.
Huntington Home Bath Towels, Hand Towels, and Washcloths
For years, my frugal family simply lived with our very old collection of bath towels, most of which my husband and I had accumulated before we met each other. I finally caved a few years ago and updated our towels with Aldi towels. They are soft, absorbent, and have even gotten compliments from visiting relatives. They aren’t going to last forever, but they’re durable enough and we’ve gotten several years out of them.
Huntington Home Animal Storage Basket
I couldn’t not buy this cute basket when it showed up at Aldi. It’s much cheaper than its Pottery Barn counterparts and I use it in a bedroom to store small blankets and stuffed animals.
Easy Home Spin Mop
Aldi has sold a few variations on this mopping system, and most recently I purchased a new set that keeps the clean and dirty water separate. This is a nice mop for cleaning all types of hard floors, and it’s a good deal compared to name brands.
Easy Home Shoe Organizer
This organizer is not exactly pretty, but it holds a ton of shoes in a way that makes them easily visible and accessible. After having a bad experience with a different Aldi shoe tower, I was happy to find this one. I first learned about this product when a guest writer did a post for Aldi Reviewer about hers. Then I bought one, and now I’m actually waiting for Aldi to sell this again so I can buy another one.
Easy Home 4-Tier Chrome Shelf
This metal shelf is amazingly strong and durable, and it holds a lot of stuff. After setting up the first one, I went back and bought two more, and I use these for everything from our emergency/extra food stash to camping gear to plastic totes filled with photo albums and other mementos.
Easy Home Color-Changing LED Desk Lamp
I bought this cute little desk lamp when we wanted something for a child’s desk during virtual schooling. It’s compact, and the flexible arm is convenient. The colored lights are a nice bonus.
Easy Home Tower Fan
This tower fan is great when you want some air flow but don’t have much space. Its compact design works well, and it blows out a surprising amount of air. It’s also quiet, which can be great if you’re running it around the house during the day, but keep in mind this isn’t the type of fan that will provide you with white noise to sleep with. (Although Aldi does sometimes sell box fans that fit that purpose.)
Easy Home Laundry Cart
I bought this little laundry cart and used it as a plant stand before Aldi sold the dedicated plant stand I mentioned way up above in this post. I own two of these, and they are a wonder around the house. I now use one for laundry supplies as it was intended. I use another one in a kid’s bedroom to store random items. Their slim profile is useful in small spaces, but they hold quite a lot of stuff and are easy to tuck against a wall, in a closet, or in any compact space.
Ambiano Indoor Smart Garden
This indoor smart garden is a real novelty and Aldi has only sold it one time. It’s a knockoff of the more expensive Aerogarden systems that grow plants using hydroponics. The downside to this Aldi garden was that I had to buy extra supplies (grow sponges and seeds) to even get started. However, I found that I could buy Aerogarden accessories on Amazon that fit the Aldi garden, and it is great fun to grow herbs and flowers on my kitchen counter. The only disadvantage is that the water tank where the plant roots grow is not large, so eventually plant growth stalls. Still, this is a fun kitchen science project and is a great way to see if you might be interested in investing in a larger indoor garden system.
What are your favorite home goods from Aldi? Let us know in the comments.
Rachel,
I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your reviews and learn a lot from them. I have an Aldi close by and enjoy checking out the Aldi Finds aisle almost daily. If there is something I really want, I buy it right away, otherwise I wait for a mark down which is an even better “find.”
